Since I'm new to Kelly St. Clare and her style of writing
I was thrilled to dive into her newest SyFy series, and all I can say is WOW! I am not only a fan of Kelly's for life, but of this series as well.
Romy has never been to earth, it's been over ran with global warming, and there's no chance anything can survive on it......at least that's what she has been engrained into her for as long as she can remember. As soon as Romy learns that everything she's been told about Earth in life has basically been a lie Romy is out to find answers and the truth!
What I loved about this series is it reminded me slightly of The 100 from the CW, but in no way was it the same. The Retreat was raw and excitingly new to me, and during this entire book I felt so close to Romy & her friends throughout their entire journey. Each time they uncovered something it sparked an excitement within their group (or Knot as they call it), but when any of them felt the slightest bit of betrayal it seemed to allow them to come closer together. The dynamic for all these characters was written beautifully, and I don't think it could have come across in a more perfect way.
The next book in this series doesn't have a release date....shoot I can't even drool over the cover yet....but I'm hoping with the out-pouring of love and fabulous reviews Kelly receives with book #1, that book #2 will pop onto our shelves sooner than we think!

About the Author
When Kelly St Clare is not reading or writing, she is lost
in her latest reverie. She can, quite literally, drift past a car accident
while in the midst of her day dreams, despite the various police sirens and
chaos.
Books have always been magical and mysterious to her. One
day she decided to start unravelling this mystery and began writing. Her aim:
To write stories she would want to read. As it turns out, this failed
miserably. Do you know what it is like to read something you've written?
Impossible, that's what. Not to mention, the ending is ruined before you've
begun. Never-the-less, Kelly loves it and wishes she had more time to squeeze
it in between her day job as a physiotherapist.
Fantasy of Frost, the first title in The Tainted Accords, is
her debut novel. It's sequel, Fantasy of Flight released May 2015. Fantasy of
Fire is now available!
A New Zealander in origin and in heart, Kelly currently
resides in Australia with her soon-to-be husband, a great group of friends, and
some huntsman spiders who love to come inside when it rains. Their love is not
returned.

Sometimes you've had enough of this planet and just need to get away from it! Since I can't afford the cost of space travel, I'll have to do the next best thing and escape into a book with space travel.
