Everyone is exactly like me. There is no one like me.

Ven wrestles with these contradicting truths every day. A clone of wealthy eighteen-year-old Raven Rogen, Ven knows everything about the girl she was created to serve: the clothes she wears, the boys she loves, the friends she loves to hate. Yet she’s never met the Authentic Raven face-to-face.

Imitations like Ven only get to leave the lab when they’re needed—to replace a dead Authentic, donate an organ, or complete a specific mission. And Raven has
never needed Ven . . . until now.

When there is an attack on Raven’s life, Ven is thrust into the real world, posing as Raven to draw out the people who tried to harm her. But as Ven dives deeper into Raven’s world, she begins to question everything she was ever told. She exists for Raven, but is she prepared to sacrifice herself for a girl she’s never met?

Heather does not disappoint!

I have been a stalker fan of Heather's for years, and every time I start a novel by Ms. Hildenbrand I fall in love! Her characters grab you, the stories take you away, and her book boyfriends make you want to be the heroine!

Right away there are so many things that I love about Imitation, the setting of our "world". How genius is this concept, having a replacement in the wings for emergencies?! But my heart bleeds for Ven, she's different....smarter. Though she knows her purpose, she knows that there are things beyond what everything seems. Secrets are absolutely the core to everything in Raven's world, but Ven doesn't want that....even though she can't do anything about it.

First of all....I am not a huge fan of Raven, or her father for that matter. Honestly, how nice can a rich girl who's handed everything be? Not.

Onto a better note...Linc *swoon*
I need a body guard like him, stat! He was the epitome of book boyfriend; strong, silent, hot. Oh, brains too. He's not a fan of the fact that Raven's father is flaunting her all over the place with her life at risk. Little does he know it's actually Ven. As things become even more dangerous the plot took an amazing turn. I wanted to just jump into the book at this point and hug all the characters, it was so emotional & pivotal.

So now that I've left you on the edge of your seat, run out and grab this amazing book!

5/5

Teaser:

After breakfast, the three of us walk together behind the others to our designated changing room. The girls in our wing have ten minutes to report downstairs for physical activity. Our days are scheduled to the second in Twig City. This way, we don ’t have time to think about the fact that it’s more like a prison than a city. No one says it out loud, but the absence of an exit is proof that it’s true.
“Maybe you’ll meet a hot guy,” Lonnie says as we grab our gym uniforms from our cubbies.   “Maybe,” I echo.
None of us have ever really interacted with boys. Twig City is segregated to prevent lasting relationships of that sort. Attachment is too complicate d when you could get called up for duty at any time. To develop our social skills, we are treated t o a quarterly mixer, where we are made to dress up and then marched upstairs to the boys’ dormitory. For two hours, we are fed cookies and punch while static-filled music is cranked through the speakers. Once, a few couples tried dancing but as soon as their bodies made contact, the Overseers were there, pulling them apart and handing out punishment orders. No one dances anymore.
