SQEEEEE! First ever vlog!
Epic right?!
So disregard that I filmed the entire thing on my works company camera...yes a Sony Cyber-Shot. Not bad huh?
Anyways, this is just something that I had to get off my chest. Was it in NO way meant to hurt feelings, but it's just me being honest. Here you guys go!
(sorry the quality sucks, that I look like death warmed-over, and all the hand motions)

Great job! Your passion for grammar show.
Oh, you are hitting on the exact stigma that every indie author has to face and fight on a daily basis. Unfortunately, poor editing and grammar is what gives most of us a bad rap! And while every book can't be 100% perfect, it needs to be treated like every other professionally printed book out there on the shelves--even more so, I think. The manuscript NEEDS to go through critique groups, a beta reader or two, friends, and finally it needs a professional edit. I don't care how good you think you are. It needs an unbiased fresh set of eyes. I commend you for pushing through some works that are so messy. I try sometimes but end up having to put the book down and can't finish it because I cringe at some of the stuff I see. So sad. :( Great rant!
Thanks guys!
@Rachel - this is the reason right here why I'm starting to do freelance copy editing & BETA. I want these authors to succeed, but sometimes you have to say, 'look, that part needs to be cut', or, 'might want to explain a little more'. It's just frustrating because with all the potential they have, it's a shame that people aren't paying closer attention to things.
