In a world where fairies lurk and curses linger, love can bleed like the prick of a finger.

Briar Rose knows her life will never be a fairy tale. She’s raising her siblings on her own, her wages at the spinning mill have been cut, and the boy she thought she had a future with has eyes for someone else. Most days it feels like her best friend, Henry Prince, is the only one in her corner…though with his endless flirty jokes, how can she ever take him seriously?

When a mysterious peddler offers her a “magic” spindle that could make her more money, sneaking it into the mill seems worth the risk. But then one by one, her fellow spinner girls come down with the mysterious sleeping sickness—and Briar’s not immune.

If Briar wants to save the girls—and herself—she’ll have to start believing in fairy tales…and in the power of a prince’s kiss.

My heart is BURSTING!!

So far this year I've read more Fairy Tales  re-telling than I have in the last few years combined....but each time I read a new one my expectation is blown right out of the water!

As I dove in Spindle I was reminded of how much I loved the original story of Sleeping Beauty, it was such a staple for me growing up. But the differences in Spindle made this book shine bright!

Set in a more realistic setting Briar is trying to provide for her siblings, with her dreaming of living happily ever after & never looking back. So when a peddlers offers her something magical that will allow her to obtain all her dreams, how can she say no....but all magic comes with a price. As the story within Spindle wove deeper, so did each character! To me each moment in Spindle was packed with action, suspense & whimsy.

I do have to give the author props for creating such a meniacle bad guy, this character pulled out twists and tricks I've never seen before, and each was brilliantly done!

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this entire story!

Hi, Jessica! Thanks for hosting a stop on the tour. (You should consider making t-shirts with your blog name on them. It's such a great name...and it would be fun!)
