Fifteen-year-old Rory Adair has a secret she never reveals to anyone—dreams that foreshadow
what is to come. Excited about finally meeting the hot, tall, blue-eyed guy from one of those dreams, she is shocked when he turns out to be identical twin brothers Bryce and Ryder Wyatt, both of whom take an instant interest in her and compete for her attention. As Rory tries to use her secret ability to help her decide which brother to ask to the Sadie Hawkins Dance, the dreams start to change.

Something bad is going to happen, but before she can figure out how to warn her friends without revealing her secret, her best friend Stacey goes missing.Rory teams up with Bryce, who has a secret ability of his own. Together they use their abilitie, intellect, and gut instinct to find the missing women. Can Rory sort through her feelings for the Wyatt brothers—and find her friend—before she loses them all?

Talk about a little twisted!

Jumping into Dreamer, I wasn't quiet expecting such a complex love triangle from such young characters. There are some pretty deep emotions that run through this book, but the reasoning behind them all completely makes sense. Sometimes you just have to trust the author :)

Rory was great, though parts of her were a little too back and forth for me, she still grabbed my attention with her "secret". At times I wanted to shake her, because I am #TeamBryce all the way....sorry...He's just got the confidence about him, something that makes him swoon-worthy. For example there's a scene when they're playing all playing laser tag and Bryce makes a comment about playing shirtless that just had me saying, "YES, please do!". (Now I won't relieve who she ends up with....but it does make me surprisingly happy)

Now onto some juicier parts of the book, I think Bryce's secret is AWESOME! It's like a fortune teller and Van Gogh had a baby! Not saying that all unique gifts don't come without a price, but Bryce definitely helped me stay on the edge of my seat towards the end of this story. Yes, Rory helps too, but sometimes she felt too full of indecision to think clearly. Find your friend first, then dudes later.

Overall I enjoyed Dreamer, there were a few person little things that I would tweak, but other than that it was a good read.

3.5/5

About the Author:

IMG_1556
The hardest thing for me to write is about myself. I feel like I am bragging about how wonderful and great and intelligent I am. When reality is, I am just a normal person. I am just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her…I may have stolen that line :) If you are confused watch Notting Hill with Julia Roberts…great movie!

Of course everyone has qualities that make them unique and my biggest accomplishment is that I wrote a book and it is going to be published. Writing the book was the easy part. The hard part was finding a publisher that believed in my book and wanted to publish it. I had a dream to write a book and
I did.

I didn’t always dream of writing a book, but I always used my
imagination. I LOVED to play Barbie’s when I was little. Even when it wasn’t cool to play Barbie’s because society dictated I was too old to play anymore, I still played.

In middle school and high school I loved English class when we got to make up our own stories using vocabulary words or during creative writing sections. I didn’t enjoy reading the books that they have you read in school. I still don’t know why they insist on some of the books that they do, let’s get with the times and read something good. Despite the boring books I read in school, I read on my own time too. I devoured every Nancy Drew book. I loved the mystery mixed with a little
romance.

Then in high school my mom let me read one of her historical
romance books. That was it, I was hooked! I have gone through many phases of what genre I like to read. I love mystery, suspense, sometimes, horror...but I need to have a little romance in it always!

I set out to write an author Bio and instead told you pretty
much nothing about myself. So, here I go…here is the boring author bio.

Born and raised in Michigan, I have always lived a dual life. One as a normal girl growing up in the suburbs of Detroit and the other of a girl in her own fantasy world.

My fantasy world is much more exciting than real life. I am a
high school history and health teacher. Teaching I believe is one of the greatest and most rewarding jobs that there is. Other than being a parent of course.

In my free time when I am not writing or reading, I am with my son, traveling, cooking, or playing outside. I love to take magic carpet rides to faraway places to find fairies and hunt for dragons. A day inside of my head is always
entertaining!  :)

Thanks for having me on your blog! I must be a lot like Rory, because I can't decide which twin I like more either. I am glad that you enjoyed Dreamer. I enjoyed writing it. I am working on book 2 now.
