My Name is Maggie Raynard. After sixteen years being just plain me, suddenly, when I lose my temper, my fingers become weapons of mass destruction. Turns out I'm a semi-god, descended from Aphrodite. Sounds cool in theory, but when I accidentally put my ex-boyfriend in a coma, things go downhill pretty fast.

Now some new guy names Mac Finnegan has made it his mission in life to continually piss me off. I'm stuck learning how to use my new powers while also dealing with regular high school problems, and with this annoying-and super-hot- guy all up in my business, I'm about to flip out. But it gets worse. I just learned there's this watchdog council of semis who keeps an eye out for any bad apples. They think I'm the baddest of the bunch and want to take my out before I do any more damage. Mt nemesis Mac might turn out to be my salvation, only he's got secrets of his own...and they may just kill us both.

Yes, Yes, Yes!

CHAOS was the perfect marriage of hot, adventure, and smart ass remarks to make me devour it in 24 hours.

Where to start....I would say Mac, but trust me that little complicated morsel will have his time.....so how about Maggie.

As a whole she is such a perfectly broken mess, that I couldn't help but want to be her friend. Despite all the shit she's gone through, and all the uphill battles she's facing, she manages to keep her humor.Which to me is a great mask to have, because when your biggest battle is against yourself having any type of distraction helps things seem easier.

Maggie is working so hard to control something that NO one will help her understand, though as soon as Mac decides to make Maggie the top priority in his life things change really quick!
Claiming to be her savior, and that he is able to teach her things she should already know, seems to be enough for Maggie to climb on board with whatever Mac has in store.
Trust me when I say that the attraction they have for each other is GREAT!
Both of them seem to be having the same inner battle about their feelings....but Mac seems to "divert" his feelings else where, and boy does it get Maggie all kinds of worked up.

I think what makes their relationship so great is that Maggie has enough quick-witted comments to put Mac in his place, while Mac knows how to get Maggie worked up pretty much whenever anything comes out of his mouth. To me this equals some pretty great chemistry!

During the second half of the book I became very intrigued with how the author was able to explain all the history that made Maggie who she is. It never came across boring, and it didn't seem to run on, and on, and on, she found the perfect balance between knowledge & entertainment. So having that made for a fantastical ending!

I would recommend this book to everyone, honestly one of the most original books I've read in a while!

5/5
