If having bounty hunters hot on my heels means I get to be shackled to a hottie like Shaun, then come after me now! 

I can't even begin to describe how much I absolutely LOVED this book. I've always been a fan of Jus' and Rules of Survival reminded me why over, and over, and over. From the plot, to all the amazing twist (and trust there were a lot), to the intricate background she gave both the main characters, there wasn't a single detail that was missed.

Initially I was slightly hesitant that maybe this book wasn't going to have that something special, or weird, or different, that has been drawing me into my books lately, but all of those things were there in Kayla & Shaun. Between these two, there was such a dynamic I couldn't pull myself away. Snide remarks, quick wit, deep-dark emotion, feelings....and all while chained together....literally! Though there were a few times I really question Shaun's true motives, the ending of the book did not disappoint in any way. Everything tied together and made me go, 'Oh yeah....that's why those things happened...Jus is GENIUS!'.

 In the future, if possible, I would truly enjoy more of Shaun & Kayla...they're that yummy together....but, who knows?? I'll let you read this amazing book so that you can find out for yourself!

A great quote can be inspirational. It can make us laugh, or swoon. It can make us feel connected when we’re lonely. A quote is the perfect example of the power words can hold. They can come from anywhere. Movies, books, people… I thought today I’d share some of my favorites with you.

Let’s start with people. Some of my absolute favorites come from Lord Byron.

For truth is always strange; stranger than fiction – Simple and says it all. This describes my life perfectly. Example? My 60 something year old neighbor mowing the lawn at midnight wearing nothing but a red Speedo. Seriously. You can’t make this stuff up…

If I don't write to empty my mind, I go mad – My brain is a random idea generator. Some pan out, others get filed away in a WTF were you thinking folder. Either way though, I need to get them out. If I don’t, it gets really crowded in there…

            And what about movies? Everything from creepy to hilarious. Movie quotes stick with us.

I’ll be back... – You know you think badass, unstoppable killing machine when you hear that.

I see dead people – Tell me you didn’t get the chills when you saw Haley Joel Osment turn to Bruce Willis and confess his big secret?

I want my two dollars! – I don’t care how old you are, if you don’t know this quote, a small part of me just died…

            Of course I saved the best for last. The book quotes. Funny, swoontastic, and all around awesome! I’ve seen everything from t-shirts to tattoos honoring these puppies. A few weeks ago, I even saw a van that had Jacob’s face (Twilight) and I'm gonna fight for you, until your heart stops beating airbrushed across the driver’s side. On the passenger’s side, Edward's face and Look after my heart - I've left it with you. Crazy, right?

Pick up your clothes. I am not your maid. How do I know this? A maid cannot kill you with a tube sock. I can. – If you haven’t read Rob Thurman’s Cal Leandros series, you need to snap it up ASAP. There are so many awesome one liners, it will make your head spin.

First Thought: Thrilling ride!

There are SO many different things that are running around in my head, I think that is probably the reason why it's taken me so long to put this review down on paper....well you know what I mean.

Dez is one of my favorite female leads I've read about all year. This is possibly because she reminds me slightly of myself, just with her outspoken mouth & go-get-em attitude.
I mean this girl will go to any means to save those who she loves! Her adrenaline junkie ways seem to get under her dads skin, so I L-O-V-E-D when she comes home with some random dude. (Plus it doesn't hurt that the random dude is HAWT good looking)


During this book I couldn't help but think..."ya know, this sounds slightly familiar". Then I it hits me, the Ghostwalker Series by Christine Feehan! Touch totally reminds me of it, but in a completely good way, not in a bad-ripped-off-way.
Jus was able to take this idea and spin in into something beyond where I thought it could go. Breaking her characters down, then building them back up to become stronger, tougher and far wiser then before was amazing.

Along the ride Dez is bound and determined to free a specific prisoner that is being held captive in her father's work. And I mean this girl will go to extreme means to get "them" out!
 Even if that means morphing into a completely unattractive older woman with made fashion sense. There's no stopping this girl :)

Watching the plot develop, thicken, then finally come to a head was probably the best part of this whole read. I mean, you know it's going to go somewhere big, but this was HUGE! Discovering you're something special, but realizing it could go in 20 different directions is another.

Oh, and the chemistry! SH-MO-KIN-G!
Kale, Kale, Kale.....I mean look at that cover & try to tell me he's not yum-tastic with a side of deliciousness???
Sparks file between these two within seconds, so when Kale discovers he can touch Dez, it turns his world upside down, inside out & starts walking backwards! Suddenly what seemed to be impossible is 100% real. It's truly heart warming to watch him actually learn and become apart of the world, instead of just being another Denazen object that inhabits it.
(He's just SO adorable)

All in all this book was pretty fantastic! Jus' imagination flies at you & comes to life from page one. Make sure you pick this book up, download, whatever you need to do so that you can  devour it ASAP!
