After years as a black ops CIA agent, nothing surprises Roy Kincaid, yet his current assignment is close to a bust. How could his target—renegade genetic freaks—drop off the radar as if they never existed? Burnt out and discouraged, he hunches over a meal in a backwater diner when a half-frozen woman with the look of an abused runaway staggers through the door. On his feet in an instant, Roy kicks himself. His first instinct is to help her, make certain she stays long enough for the bluish cast to leave her lips. His second is to finish his meal and leave. The world is full of broken women. It’s not his job to fix them, but he can’t take his eyes off her.

Glory’s telepathic ability blares a harsh warning. Roy hunts those like her, but damn if he didn’t buy her dinner. Maybe she can fool him, just for tonight. Add a dry motel room to the meal. If she plays it very cool, he’ll never find out she’s on the run from the same group he’s targeted for death.

Enhanced genetics only go so far. A roadblock and her face on a Most Wanted flyer shatter her fragile truce with Roy. If her Handlers find her, they’ll kill her. If Roy finds out what she is, she’ll be worse than dead.

BAM!

Allow me to help introduce you to an absolutely BRILLIANT new series laced with suspense, heat and mystery!

First meeting Roy was intense, he's guarded, disciplined and delicious. Hunting those who are different for a living can shift something in a man, make them change who they once were. Though Roy has great reasons to do what he does, it's extremely riveting to see his journey throughout this entire novel. Immediately as Glory comes crashing into his world things start to get crazier....if that's possible.

These two are probably one of my favorite literary couples I've ever had the pleasure of reading about. When you put two strong personalities together they become explosive, now when you add two smoking hot individuals you get the BOOM! Seriously some of the best on page chemistry between leading characters I've ever seen!

Another thing that I truly enjoyed about Winning Glory was the enormous amount of detail that Ms. Gimple layered into this book. Glory's back story was fantastic, it did make me want to throat punch her "handlers", but it gave great insight into why she acts the way she does. Her defenses are keen, but her end game is what matters most to her....she will never go back to that world again!

Now I could go on for DAYS about this book, and dip into the rest of the series, but I feel you should grab this series and find out for you self!

4/5
